LedgeIt ("we", "us") is a software product operated by Techficient Solutions Ltd. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use LedgeIt.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, business name.
• Receipts, expenses and mileage you upload or record.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, device information.

How we use it

To provide the service, process payments, send transactional emails, prevent fraud and improve LedgeIt.

Legal basis

Contract (delivering the service you subscribed to) and legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement). Marketing communications are sent only with consent.

Sharing

We share data with subprocessors (hosting, storage, payments, email delivery, OCR) strictly to run LedgeIt. See our full Subprocessors list. We never sell your data. Where you invite an accountant, they can view records for the businesses linked to their practice.

Storage & security

Data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is logged and role-scoped.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You may request access, correction, deletion or portability of your data. Contact support@ledgeit.app.

Retention

We retain business records for the period required by HMRC (typically 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year). See our Data Retention Policy.
