Notifications in LedgeIt

LedgeIt uses in-app notifications (the bell in the top bar) and optional email notifications to keep you posted without spamming you.

What triggers a notification

  • Submission approved / rejected — sent to the submitter.
  • Item submitted for approval — sent to owners and accountants.
  • Invitation accepted — sent to the person who sent the invite.
  • Billing events — trial ending soon, payment failed, subscription renewed.
  • Weekly summary — opt-in from Settings → Preferences.

The bell

The bell in the top-right shows unread count. Tap it to see a dropdown of the most recent 10 notifications, or tap See all to open the full page at /app/notifications.

Managing email notifications

From Settings → Preferences you can toggle each email type independently. In-app notifications stay on — the bell is always active.

Marking read / clearing

  • Tapping a notification marks it read and takes you to the linked item.
  • Mark all as read on the notifications page clears the unread count.
  • Notifications older than 90 days are cleaned up automatically.
